On Wednesday we received the devastating news of the passing of our Director Barbara Felgendreher-Stephan. Actually, we were looking forward to continue working with her in the future, or at least to see her again. Now we know that won’t be possible anymore. Instead, we have to say goodbye.
The funeral will take place on Monday, September 14, at 9 o’clock at the “Pragfriedhof” in Stuttgart.
With a lot of personal commitment and love for her job, Barbara Felgendreher-Stephan built the alumni network of the University of Stuttgart from the ground up. She took care of contacts on five continents and kept alumni and alumnae up to date with developments at the university. In doing so, she made sure that graduates, friends and supporters of the university felt in touch with their alma mater. Everybody will remember her heartwarming smile and friendly nature.
We, along with our fellow colleagues at the university, offer our deepest condolences to Barbara Felgendreher-Stephan’s family, her relatives and friends. Barbara will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. We are thankful to have known and to have worked with her.
