Welcoming Speech of the Alumni Office
It has been twenty years since our network "Alumnius" was launched. As the name already hints at, we are celebrating the „us“ in twenty years of successful alumni work. The time spent at the University of Stuttgart will come to an end for each and every alumna and alumnus eventually, but the mission of our network is to ensure that the „us“ in „Alumnius“ continues to exist beyond the passage of time.
We are looking back at two decades full of valuable experiences and wonderful memories, which have shown us that everyone who feels connected to the University of Stuttgart can enrich our network with their unique perspective and bond to their Alma Mater.
In the past five years alone, our dedication to becoming an interdisciplinary and international network has put us on a track toward global expansion: Alumni meetings in China, South Korea and the USA, as well as our established online format "Alumni Global Hour" have laid the first stepping stones for a future in which our alumnae and alumni carry the vision and values of the University of Stuttgart across the globe.
Beyond that, we have continued to support our alumnae and alumni in staying connected to the University of Stuttgart during their time of study and after graduation with a lifetime bond as our key goal.
We look forward to a future in which we can continue to support our alumnae and alumni in building connections with each other and strengthening their bond to the University of Stuttgart. We continue to value every contribution and aim to build on our knowledge from twenty years of alumni work. In other words, we shall use past experiences in the present to shape the future together.
